Registration for September’s Navy-Air Force Half Marathon is open.
The event, in conjunction with the popular Navy 5-Miler, will take place Sept. 14 on the Mall in Washington, D.C. Start time for the half-marathon is 7:20 a.m. for wheelchair athletes and wounded warriors — 7:25 for the rest of the field. The 5-miler will start at 8:00 and 8:05.
Officials are finalizing this year’s course, but say the USATF-certified half-marathon and 5-mile courses will be similar to last year’s routes. The event will start at the Washington Monument and include East and West Potomac Parks and Rock Creek Parkway. (See map, below)
