Military Muscle: In the studio with Army Reserve Capt. Ryan Hanna — creator of the Sworkit app

Military Times photographer Mike Morones hit the studio early Tuesday morning to photograph Army Reserve Capt. Ryan Hanna for next week’s Military Muscle column.

Ryan, 29, was here to do Bob Thomas’ anywhere, anytime leg-exercise workout, but he’s no stranger to demonstrating workouts.

Ryan is the demonstrator — and designer and creator — for the exercises on Sworkit, an app that generates a workout based on how much time you have. Users choose a time frame and which part of their body to target, and the app will take you through 30-second intervals of randomized exercises.

Read more about Sworkit here.

(Also pictured? Navy Times Managing Editor Tony Lombardo, who is sadly overqualified to act as a wall.)

Look for this workout in the March 27 issue of OFFduty, on newsstands March 20.

Do you want to be in an upcoming issue? Here’s how.
